Welcome to Joshua Tree! This was probably one of the longest days of my life. Colin and I were up 2hrs before sunrise and on the road for 3hr or so. Our destination? the picturesque landscapes of the high desert. Our mission? to capture the spirit and feel of a lonely Cowboy just trying to make it to the next show and meet that girl! Well, something like that.



I took this shot of the crew (camera man, director, and talent manager) huddled in the corner of the bathroom. They are watching the Cowboy's future love-interest getting ready for her job at the local saloon.
Do you see that sunset? The last shots of the day were spent on interviewing our talented Cowboy on his music and goals. You should see the way the interview looks with all those vibrant colors behind him!
Last, when the bags are loaded, the equipment put down, the sky falls dark. All you can see is this abandoned Lover's Bench, barely lit by a lone light from the tree. It had a very ghostly appearance.
