Tonight was girl's night!
Women of L.A.'s top event professions meet monthly for what we call, "Lush Club." I won't say who came up with the name but we all do our duty at these gatherings. Our 1st Club meeting for 2009 was held at the new, romantic and chic designed, Pop Champagne & Dessert Bar in Pasadena, CA. The new establishment , I was told, opened in December 2008 with locals and downtowners all curious about this brick-walled, chandelier-lit bar.
We, and I admittedly include myself, indulged in fresh white peach Bellinis, Belgium brews on draft, butternut soup, goat cheese crustini, cheese plates, prosciutto & fixings, basic ice cream with a lemon tart, chocolate truffles, strawberries soaked and baked in lavender. MMMM, good!
The women here are photographers, event planners, and invitation designers who cater to the best of Los Angeles. Our superb location was chosen by Marcia Vidal of Crystal Clear Weddings.
She's the little lady in pink in the photo above. We all have a great time meeting new women in our industry, discussing the trend in weddings for 2009, and of course sharing stories of our worst BrideZillas. What I love about it is a chance to get to know women I may work with 4 or 5 times a year but only speak to for 10min at a time. It's proven that when business relationships are solidified by real friendships then both businesses prosper because of the gained trust and familiarity. I'll toast to that!
