Oscar Day: B4 the red carpet

Wow! Hands down my favorite awards program on TV, is the Oscars. Over the last few years, I've been lucky enough to make up some beautiful faces for this grand event. 2008 was no different. Thanks to B2V Salon in
West Hollywood, I began my day with Atlanta physician Dr. Laura Beaty. Unfortunately, this isn't the greatest picture, but she looked smashing! and ready to attend Elton John's Oscar Party. Next on the list was I attended the home of country music legend Tanya Tucker in the Malibu mountains. (wow) Here I am posed with her beautiful and talented daughter Presley after I got her Oscar-ready. Myself and the hair stylist were not the only guests today--  I walked in and was met with a small TV crew for Tuckerville.
I'll be setting up my TiVo to record that episode!

Nostalgia: Makeup School

Moving may not be fun for anyone, but finding old photographs is! I found theses pictures in an old folder from my days at MUD. This one below was at the end of the course when we had a final creative project to execute. I was, it seems, a type of Cirque-du-Soleil creature.
My project was, well.... I think I was going for a type of camouflage, inspired by the interplay of fashion and politics....Sounded good at the time.
The other is from an assignment  to copy a makeup look from a fashion magazine. I loved the intensity and shine of this glossy, black eye. I took advantage of one of Vaseline's many uses; I don't know if you can tell, but the eye is quite "wet" looking. Perhaps not suitable for bridal, this look can be done for late parties and print.

If your answer was "Me!" please....

What exactly is a "Trial"?

trial |ˈtrī(ə)l|
noun
2. a test of the performance, qualities, or suitability of someone or something

ORIGIN late Middle English (as a noun): from Anglo-Norman French, or from medieval Latin triallum. The verb dates from the 1980s

OK, so starting from scratch I just want to begin with what a  trial is; now we can discuss what is a "makeup/hair trial." This is your opportunity to test the performance of products & my design, the quality of the products and service, and to judge if I am suitable for you. On the other-hand, it is my chance to test the same performance and quality of design and products on your (unique) skin and hair, and to hope you find me suitable :)
