Long Hair + Natural Beauty @ Home Garden Wedding

When I met Ashley, I knew I was lucky: this girl is incredibly sweet, charming, and GORGEOUS! A natural redhead you are wondering? - Yes, and she's never colored her hair.
Ashley was referred to me by her coordinator and close friend of mine, Gianna Provenzano of GP Events.
We got to talking and turns out here photographer is the uber-talented + friend of mine, too, Kerry Cocoran at David Michael Photography AND we have several mutual friends from the La Canada/ Flintridge area. Wow, too good to be true!

Ok, back to this natural beauty! So as you can see, she wanted a soft, natural makeup, rosy cheeks and lots of lashes to make her green eyes stand out.

The beginning! The bride in her dressing room at home. (I LUV this mirror!)

LOTS of curling + spraying happening here!

Look at these gorgeous bridesmaids + flower girl! My team did great!

I blended a waterproof brow pencil by Styli-Style to create a soft look
my snapshot of Kasia - my favorite Polish girl - making an awesome up-do.
Below, the cutest bridal party! Hair & makeup done by my incredible team: Kasia, Maureen, & Kate.

Kate at work! The newest member of my artists
All these girls had the best skin! Just flawless!

She's almost done and very excited!

Jane Iredale Powder evens the complexion, but doesn't mask her freckles

That is ALL her hair! Can you believe it? Tip: For the same loose waves,
use a 1.25" ceramic iron + heat styling spray

The girls are ready to go + give Kerry their best smiles

She's ready!

Urban Gem launches! Natural, Funky, Urban Makeup

To play up the model's blue eyes, I used a bright coral eye shadow by MAC

I've been working with some LA based jewelry lines lately, and Urban Gem is one I think is the best for everyday. We did this shoot in many LA Downtown locations, a few which were not so safe but they made for great moods!
Meaghan Rose, the founder of Urban Gem, searches out for the best pieces and material she think hip, urban women will love. No matter your style, you are sure to find something that fits your unique fashion identity. I think she did a great job!

Thanks to Callaway Gable for sending me these pictures! Brian & Allie are so fun to work with, whether it's a wedding, boudoir or fashion shoot. I highly recommend them.

This model got her golden glow with MAC's Matte Bronzer
She's all color! Jane Iredale Light Bronzer & a MAC blue eyeshadow give her a summery, ethnic look

You can find Urban Gem on Facebook here!

Bridal Beauty @ Disney Concert Hall

check out these Jimmy's!!

I had the pleasure of meeting my bride, Maria, on Wednesday Aug 31st for her makeup trial...and on the following Saturday we did her wedding makeup!

Maria is a beautiful woman and knew exactly what colors complemented her fair skin and blonde hair, so we wasted no time discussing all her options. She had a beautiful palette of metallics, bronze, and copper. I used NARS eye shadows, Makeup Forever HD Foundation, and Jane Iredale powder to set.
I've never had a bride so keen on what she wanted and easy to work with!

We got ready at the Standard Hotel in dtLA, close to her Disney Concert Hall ceremony site. She had a fabulous hair team doing perfect up-dos while I took care of the makeup!

Working with Ryan Phillips photgraphy is wonderful because I know I'm going to get great pictures to share! Here are a few shots I pulled from his recent blog post.

I love the joy & excitement captured here!
